Chicken Pulao recipe in details:
Hello everyone welcomes to Food Lifes. Today I bring you a
recipe called "Chicken Pulao"
So, let's just get started. I've got about half a kg of
chicken, I'm just going to add 2 tablespoons of yogurt, I'm going to add a
little bit of ginger-garlic paste this is a little less than a tablespoon, I've
got the juice of one lemon in here I'm just going to add it in and mix it up
So, now I'm just going to leave it aside for 30 minutes to
an hour and come back to it in a bit take a thick bottom span you can also use
a pressure cooker if you are in a hurry but I am choosing to use a thick bottom
pan add some oil into this you can use ghee as well if you'd like that but I am
using simple vegetable oil today and a half teaspoon of cumin seeds. I'm going
to add 2-3 bay leaves, a piece of cinnamon five to six cloves, four to five
cardamoms to this. I am going to add some split green chilies, I'm going to add
1/4 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, I've got 2 medium-sized onions here cut to
lengthwise and go some salt to taste 1/2 a TSP of turmeric powder, a teaspoon
of chili powder, 1/2 a teaspoon of cumin powder, a teaspoon and a half of garam
masala powder mix it up once the rawness of the masala goes away we'll add the
tomatoes I've got 2 tomatoes cut lengthwise.
So, my chicken that has been marinating for over an hour is
now going to go into the pot just mix the chicken really well with the onions
and the tomatoes to this. I am now going to add some coriander leaves for the
gas on a really low flame and cover it up for 5-10 minutes so it's been 10
minutes that my chicken has been cooking. I'm just going to check on it I don't
want it cooked completely I want. it to be done only about 50% it's a little
watery which is perfect so Shawn. I've got about 2 cups of rice which I'd
already washed and soaked for about 20 minutes I'm going to add that into this
So, now I'm going to add about three cups of water I had
taken two bowls of this rice, I'm going to add three bowls of this water the
reason I'm not going to add an exact one is to do proportion is because my
chicken already has some water. so I'm just going to correct it with a little
less water mix it up now just cover it and put it on a low flame for 5 to 10
minutes we are going to come back in 5 to 10 minutes and add some coriander mix
it up once again and put it on a low flame once again so now let's take a 10-minute
break.
So, let us check on our chicken pulao mix it up really well
because it would have sort of separated everything, okay it's not fully done as
yet but to this, I am now going to add some more coriander if you prefer mint
leaves feel free to add them as well. I'm going to put it on a really low flame
cover it up with exactly 2 minutes so it looks like a chicken pulao is done.
So, you see how easy and quick this recipe was I hope you
will make this for your next party and don't forget to send us pictures also
